    Default Tyres 215 50 17

    Hello all,

I will soon need to replace my all 4 tyres on my vectra 3.2 v6

I have seen on ebay Tyres 215 50 17 ZR Fullrun Brand new pair of tyres.
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...4323&rd=1&rd=1

Is it worth going for a budget tyre and saving some money or should i go for a brand name? I have been quoted £400 for four Avon ZV3. These would be cheaper and they have a good treadware rating, however can that be trusted.

Also anyone out there found the tyres any cheaper?
I read that i can use a different profile on the wheel. What is this?

The garage said i shouldnt really change the profile unless I change the width of the tyre too

Never heard of those tyres. TBH I'd stick to the known and trusted makes.

Re profile, you can change to 225/45/17 - you'll find a much bigger choice of tyres and a bit cheaper too.

    Is this recomended by Vauxhall?

    Also National Tyres have
    Star Millenium
    MILLENNIUM XL 94V - V speed rating
    £324.00 inc VAT (4 tyres)

    Any good?

Absolutely - it's a size listed in the manual as an alternative.

As for the tyre - sorry, never heard of that make.

You state the Millenium's are V rated, but I think you will find the 3.2 standard spec are W. I don't think you'd want to drop a rating.

Bin the 215's and go for the 225's. I did, you wont notice a difference but the choice is huge and you'll get them a few quid cheaper!
