    Default My car's getting repaired

Yep folks that's right despite my accident two weeks ago in which i was "rear ended" LOL! assumming my car was going to be a wite off as i've now learnt today, when I went to my local Vauxhall Bodyshop for opinion and estimate, because insurance nominated repairer is a p155 take They are telling me to come in on Monday for estimate and work commencing 2 weeks later due to too many cars

Anyhow i'm gonna drop into Vauxhalls as soon as i fax over the 2 "Competetive" estimates tommorow and get given the thumbs up So far i have a hire car at Third Parties expense (Vauxhall Astra 1.6 Club) where was my VW Passat as promised?

    Rock on

Me too Don't know what happened there so far the tyre punctured so i got that sorted from a back alley tyre repairer £30 Brand New Goodyear NCT 5 otherwise ring the freefone 0800.... as enclosed which i'm responsible for at cost of £90 Also had "Blonde" hairs all over the seat maybe a dog LOL! No Comment and a burnt clutch bl00dy biting point is at brake pedal resting level

Going to call insurance company up tommorow tell them take their hire car and shove it up their.... so i can get the same Courtsey car from Vauxhall's Bodyshop

That all depends on the individual loss recovery company you are using - or if it was an add-on to your existing motor policy.

You will find that the wording on most of these policies / agreements would be that they offer or provide a 'replacement' car, very few state that they will offer you a comparable car, although it is in their best interests to get you as close a car to what you are normally driving as they want you to be able to recommend them to others in the future.

If it was a vehicle from an Approved Repairer, then most only state that they will offer a 'courtesy' vehicle, with no reference to what it may be.

How many cars has anyone seen with 'ABC Courtesy Car / Accident Centre' (or similar name depending where you live) on them that are Vectra's or similar? Not many, most seem to be Micras, Fiestas, Ka's etc.
