I'll stick with my original idea and blue the speedo dials and red needles, with red possibly on evberything else looks good on vw.
    will post how to's.
Put me degree in electronics to use, might see what else can be done whilst the pcb's are out.
have to wait till me motor comes back from the stealers first though.

Dennis is right, the lighting looks patchy when you put the blue leds in..

Disagree with you mate if it is done by somebody competent enough with surface mount soldering,de-soldering then you should have no probs with patchiness ,after all you are only changing the colour

Looking at theose pictures the blue looks VERY nice. Obviously there are issues there with the LED's being a bit patchy and not uniform. The problem probably lies with the install. The LED's are different for different applications and it looks to me like some incorrect ones may have been used in some areas.
To look at two LED's they can look identical, yet they can be very different. It is critical that the correct LED's are used and not mixed up. VERY easy mistake to make and it is worth taking the time to make sure that that doesn't happen.
I will be doing this to my signum VERY soon and will be taking photo's as I go. I will be taking some interior shots of my car, to give to CRAZYLED's, so that they can determine exactly what is needed.

I think for my dials, i'd prefer pure white light and all of my buttons in red... bit like an audi.

its not led's though in the vec but smd's so if done properly there wont be hotspots. Mines getting done on friday evening so i'll post up some piccies. Need to decide if i am going with all blue or some bits red as well but reckon it will look smart and will blend in with my blue pioneer head unit better

I had my vec B I had everything in super bright white, looked super sexy. It was strange going back to orange in my vec c! Id love to change them but it sounds like a lot of grief in the C...
