    Default T-Tuning box arrived today

Well, imagine my joy. Got to work today and there on my desk is a brown envelope from Germany,
First thought was my new p0rn order had arrived but no even better. my T-Tuning box had arrived.

so there i am sat at work in and out of meetings with the tuning box sat on my desk.

raced home anxious, and wondering what differences i will expect.

got home, logged on to here to check the excellent picture diagrams. waited for the engine to cool slightly. found the plug, released the yellow plug and un popped it.

what did i see, but the wrong connector. the box that t-tuning sent me was a 3 pin connector, my car has a 6 pin connector with 4 pins in use.

Anyone know what has happened, which tuning box have they sent me. any ideas.

I've mailed them and given them as much detail as possible so fingers crossed we can get this sorted out and the new one arrives before PVS

    Default tuning box

I fitted one to my 150 h.p. Signum about 3 wks. ago, had the same problem as you after following the How2s pictures, I'm pretty certain that engine is the 8v. and the connector is not that one shown but is located on the r/h end
of the common rail tube ( thats the tube in the centre of the cylinder head approx. 14ins. long - 1 1/2 dia. ) hope that helps.

Very Strange Everybody i know with a 120 or 150 CDTi has the 3 pin plug. Have you got a pic of it m8? Just want to satisfy my curiosity as to why Vx are fitting totally different plugs on some cars and not others

The V6 CDTi has a different plug and is a totally different box but both the 1.9's are on the right hand side of the engine, the 150 is easy to fit as it is at the top. The 120 is a bit more awkward as it is at the back.

some of the newer engines have 2 plugs on the common rail....perhaps it's not the right one that you've removed????

The one i removed is the same one as in the how 2 pic's and instructions. The plug is underneath the common rail, and awkward to get to. I'll take some pics tomorrow and let you all decide.
My cover is different as well, mine is just a pull off, no torq screws. Filler cap is on the right hand side as well.

Hopefully someone on here will know where i'm going wrong.

in fact i'll take some pics now. give me 5 minutes

    Thanks all

if youve been reading the How2 by Brocks youve been reading the wrong one.

Brocks has the 1.9 CDTi 120 and youve got a 150.

The good news is the 150 is 100 times easier to do than the 120.

I think there is another How2 for the 150. But the plug you need is just under the engine cover (On the 120 its hidden at the bottom of the engine)

What the hell are you trying to do to your car m8 The second pic down in the middle at the end of the common rail. That's the plug you want!
Now get back out there and get that box fitted!!!!!
