Not too sure if my auto dimming interior mirror is working or not as the little light on it doesn't come on, any ideas how it works as the handbook makes no sense what so ever lol

Yea on the mirror itself theres a tiny light, my brother used to have a Vectra C as a company car and he said the light should come on if its working.Originally Posted by Duncan

Are you talking about the sensor on the bottom as you face it? It looks like a yellow led but its just the light sensor.
yeah myn has the light .......gives a nice yellow glow to the dash ..... switch ya lights on and the ingnition and look at the bottm of the mirror there is a small black circle this is the yellow bulb most vec's and sigbums have it i think ...!!!
Yea thats it, its never come on as of yet so was wondering how to check it actually works.
That's my auto-dimming mirror. You can see the sensor in the top right of the glass to detect the light falling on it (from cars behind). On the front of the mirror is another sensor to detect the ambient light so that it only dims when it's dark. No lights on mine of any description.
its on the under side mate ..............turn ya car on and see if you have a yellow glow around the gear stick and heater area
