Can´t quite understand what problem do you have mate, yo mean that the cone is damaged? Or the coil is touching the magnet?
some sub can be repaired """" as new """ and most can only be a quick fix job
with the quick fix its only time befor its going to be dead dead dead
you might get a few months out of it ..
if you tell me what sub it is i can tell you what the bet thing is to use for the quick fix
also were is the hole
a pic of the damage would be good to tell the best way to fix

looks perfect but when its powerd it bangs and makes horrid noises
its a atomic manhatton
If it´s a small hole in the cone you can apply a little of silicone to bond it together, this asumming it´s a paper cone. The other thing that can make it rattle is that the foam or rubber suroundigs of the cone are damaged, they can be relaced but it´s tricky to align perfectly the coil inside the magnet.
Do you have a pic?
there is no hole and its a celver cone
it sounds like the sub has a damaged voice coil
