    Default aftermarket stereo advice....

Iam on the look out for a new headunit - nothing expensive but must be able to handle MP3 on CD and possibly SD card?

I would like a HU that I can use with the steering controls, also my nokia car kit is connected to the loom near the glove box so must be compatible with this too.

    Any recommendations?

If you remove your OE headunit your phon will no longer work with the lead by your glovebox. You will have to fit an alternative lead.

No, for the phone kit to work through the speakers you will need to fit an interupt lead betwee the stereo and the speakers.
You'll only get volume control for the phone call via the phone kit rather than being able to control it through the stereo.

The problem with choosing a head unit is the range is enormous, it all depends on the features, looks etc you're after! I personally would always recommend Alpine but thats my preference due to sound quality. There are head units available with phone interupt leads too.
Check out caraudiodirect.co.uk and caraudiosecurity.com for some good deals on a variety of makes!
