    Unhappy Lost hope

    hi guys iv lost hope

    i think im going to sell my 2.0dti and buy a 1.9 150cdti/ or a 3.0cdti.

the main reason for this as im sure ya'll all know is its sheer lack of power iv done lots till it and still not happy with the power situation

so im taking the easy way out and going for the cdti

Don't do it unless you know you can afford to Doc, I've a 150 on loan right now, and I can tell you once driven, it'd be like going back to the horse n' cart to have to drive a DTi again, it's like a rocket even in auto form, and so refined as well, there's none of that will she make it routine going on, the power just comes straight in and yer away, even the 1st gear lag is hardly noticeable, I'm converted

aye, they aren't bad the 150. CDTi is imo the best way to go if you are after some performance with good mpg on the vectra.
Goes quite well for a big car, especially with a good tune
Hopefully will be getting the GM 2.9 when it comes out though, that sounds too good to miss.

Yes go on do it, go for the V6 and have some raw power, you'll never want anything smaller again.

Go for it mate!! You'll not regret it especially if you fit a tuning box to it!!

I had a veccy b V6 before the 150 ctdi with the crd2 tuning box that i've got now and its a flying machine!!

Make sure you try both, if you are undecided. If you like smoothless slighty less fuel consumption and a bit more power then its the 3.0 V6. But for a good all round package of performance and economy the 1.9 150 is a great motor. It all personal preference, I tried both and prefered the 3.0 V6.
Mind you the 3.0 V6 has still very good fuel consumption and without a doubt easily beats my old 2.2 Direct. Its also a lot quicker

iv sat down and really thought about it spoons, i'd fit it and it would be ok for a while but realistally and the cdti seems to be the best way and easiest for big power gains was really looking forward to getting the NOS but knowing me i'd blow the dung clean outa the 2.0dti

To right Steve, took it up to Blackbushe to watch the unretailable go through, and then on to Car Giant to see what was at Blackbushe last week and still unretailable this week, I thought it might have improved since i last went there, but oh no, same same, I looked at a 53 plate elegance with 44k on the clock *chin chin* the rear bumper was all scraped up both sides and the bottom valance.splitter was, um, all pushed in on one corner, added to the scratched door and various car park door edge chips, I thought better of it, but back to the CDTi it's lovely not having to cuss at other drivers, it just shows em a clean pair if asked.
