Default Not as bad as 1st thought

Heres the pics of my veccy after the incident this morning.
After waiting till the rain had stopped i inspected the damage and the bumper dont look too bad actually, its slightly deformed but not cracked only the paintwork has cracked. But defo need new n/s light and bonnet.
Just a quick question to any 2.2 dti owners, soes the turbo intercooler radiator have a slight curve to it or is it dead straight? Mine has a slight curve to it like a banana but not sure if it is normal or wether that happened this morning.

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but I think you'll find that is hit ALOT harder than you think, when you take it for an estimate get them to remove the undertray (is it a diesel?) to check out the ends of the chassis legs (the last six to eight inches are designed to deform under moderate impacts) and I think you said she moved the car about 3 feet so I would consider that quite a hard hit!!

the good news thou is they only bolt on ( they're called crash cans) and are really cheap to buy...as i found out on the last crash rebuild i did....and you can see them from on top of the car..i also wouldn't be suprised to see the paint broken on the nearside can showing it's been shortened...vectra's do hide their damage quite well..

yeah it is a diesel. I will have a look underneath tomorrow when its a bit less wet. I will see how the bumper beam is. The bumpers must flex quite a bit then before cracking.
The crazy thing is that it doesnt look like its had a big sudden impact more like the women reversed, hit it, then carried on reversing.

Ahh I didn't realise this, I suppose more bolt on items must be getting more common inline with more crumple zones.
