17" Black Gsi Wheels

I've got a set of 17" Gsi alloys with 2 very good and 2 OK tyres.

the wheels need refurbished before i can sell them. However, my mate who's doin the refurb has suggested getting them powder coated in Black. This might be of interest to any of you guys/gals with dark coloured cars (mine is silver otherwise would've kept them myself)

its not going to cost me anything extra to get them done black, however someone needs to commit to buy them before i get them done.

would anyone be interested in these wheels and do you guys think the black powdercoating will work ???

I know someone who powdercoats alloys, he can do anycolour you want, can you not get them powdercoated back to silver ?? May sell easier as I think the GSi allot has too big of a face for black , just my opinion tho ...

I can get them done back to silver, but it won't match the silver that was on them already, its kind of like a brilliant shiny silver jus now. lol.

I'm just toying with idea of powdercoating. dont know yet tho

I think Bainie is right, there would be too much black i reckon, but if your refurbing them silver i'd be interested...price??

i want them bad...but i've not bought anyhting off ebay before and wouldn't know where to start....plus how much would a set of mid range tyres be?

I think those wheels look safe enough to buy. they'd prob be worth about £200. you can pick a decent set of tyres for around £80 each, maybe even cheaper for a set of 4.

Hi JCB,

It's a piece of cake buying on ebay, all you need to do is register and then wait until closer to the auction end like inside the last 5mins, I'd say inside the last 30secs but you might need a bit more time being new.

If you lived up this way I'd do it for you no problem.
