vauxhall warranty ?

hi purchased my 06 vectra design 3 months ago after discussions with vauxhall and dealer i am still hitting my head off wall. when you buy a car with manufacturers warranty left are you issued with any documentation ,i.e from network q or vauxhall and do you get aa/rac cover included as part of the original waranty. your help would be most welcome as i am about to formaly complain to vauxhall about dealer.

Service book is your warranty, only time you receive a bit of paper is for a NetQ one, you are covered until 3 yrs of age or 60k, so relax and say sorry to the poor 50d you've been shouting at

You only get 1 year of AA cover from new but 3 years warranty.The other 2 years of warranty has no AA cover.If you bought the car through Network Q then you'll get 1 years AA cover and the remaining balance of the 3 years warranty(In your case 2 years warranty and 1 years AA cover)

warranty book ok then if only the vauxhall trained salesman and his manager knew that .still going to complain about them tho had to ask them to change number plate at front as it was fitted over the top of the space on the bumper and car hadnt been cleaned outside . many thanks for your help

Tel. the AA and give them your reg.That is what I did , my 06 plate is covered until 09 and the date given by the AA rep. was spot on to the date of first registration.Not the all singing dancing cover but the tow it to a garage type.

Vauxhall now give AA cover but as basic as you can get as part of the 3yr/60,000 mile warranty. I have it on my Zafira bought in March 06 and my vec brought in October 06

Had my 2004 vectra serviced in November and was given 12 months AA cover with the service via Picador in Southampton so would would think its now standard.

The original warranty should be transferred to the new owner, and the deapership should deal with that
If no documents arrive within 14 days, revsit the dealership
If no documents arrive within 28 days, contact VX

After I bought my car, I received a set for Network Q, but they were only for 1 year
I allowed 14 days, and still no updated documents, so I contacted Network Q
They contacted me the following day, the dealership had completed the wrong forms, but it was in the process of being upgraded

The replacment documents arrived a week later
Ironically, the following day I was offered a 1 year upgrade on my 1 year Network Q for just £299!
