Bit of a long story this one, so apologies!
Bought an 02 3.2V6 a few weeks ago, only 20k miles and top spec
. Noticed the engine warning light on the day after I picked it up, so took it to my local VX dealer (car was purchased from a dealer 100 miles away). It turned out to be the o2 sensor, no problem I thought as it was fixed under warranty. More worrying was the fact the technicians noticed that the car wasnt sitting correctly. On further inspection they found this was due to a broken front spring (held together by a plastic sleeve)
. They also found a load of error codes and had to replace the Engine Managent Computer.
I wrote to the supplying dealer with my complaints, as it was supposed to have been checked as a Network Q car.
The dealer has been very apologetic, as they should be having let me drive away an unsafe car!
They want to 'rectify' the situation. What do you think I should go for? Extended warranty? Free services?
Never been in this situation before so dont know what to push for!
advice needed!!
thanks.
