Thumbs up K&N induction kit or K&N filter element ???

Just wondering what would be the best one to fit to my 2003 vec C 2.2 sri ? Don't want something that sounds loud like a boy racers souped up nova but i want something that makes a difference? Any thoughts or advice would be helpful.

    Default Induction kit

Just fitted the induction kit to my 3.2 and at low revs you can't hear a thing but when it goes above 3000 rpm it growls loudly and then quitens off. It's meant to give 5bhp more but it certainly picks up better!
Motorway driving-no extra noise whatsoever-unless you floor it!!!

Hi j13hdb, quick one if I may.... how / where did you place the air feed to your induction cone? I've got a vectra gsi and can't find any space between the front grilles and the airbox to fit a reasonable sized pipe!

a 3.2 will sound great with a kit. On a 4 cylinder id go for a panel filter and an air box mod.

Basically it's stuck behind the headlight- has to be approx 4" away from the airflow- ie the grill. i took one of the engine mounting bolts out and bolted the little stand into it with the bolt then cable tied the arm to it. The cone is just behind the light and if you pull it up it just touches the metal cross member (that has the bonnet catch in it). I've left the 2 small cold air feeds in place that sit over the airco rad. Don't push it out beyond the rads it runs fine behind and I think it's fair to say is made to go behind the light!

WAIT FOR THE GROWL OVER 3000 RPM!!!
