I was thinking "Nooooooooooo - he can't have sold the VXR!!" I was expecting to see that you'd bought another one in it's place - hadn't realised you had a B as well.

It wasn't the 100bhp one, but when I was in Italy a few years ago they'd just launched the new Panda and it's what we had as our hire car. Even though it was a small car, it did us for our needs as it was mostly day trips out to places not too far away. It was such a fun little car and I actually quite enjoyed driving it.

It got taken around the Dolomites one day and then ragged back on the motorway and did it all no problem. It probably got back to the resort thinking I normally only pootle around the resort/nearby towns - not climbing up into the Dolomites and then ragged down the motorway!! Mrs Duncan affectionately named it Paulo the Panda!

Would've have been nice to have the 100bhp version, that'd have made even eaier work of the mountains and motorway!

In another post I did say FIAT stands for Fix It Again Tommrow.... yet being an owner of a B-type Punto I have to say they are clawing back big time. The new Bravo and Grande Punto look really well, and lets be honest the engines are second to none.

The amount of kit is impressive...climate, bluetooth, mp3, electric one touch windows, follow me home, Goodyear F1's, full on board computer, 6 speed box and of course it goes ok round the corners. You just keep the shoe in! And all for 7k!
