    Default Auto locking.....

    Hello all,

I've seen the thread on the 'How 2' about the Auto Locking. It works on my Vectra but when i turn the engine off after a journey it only unlocks the driver's door only, all of the other doors remain locked. I then have to unlock with the remote or door button to unlock the rest.

Is this the case with all the vectras that this works on?

Is there a way to get them all to unlock after turning the engine off ?

    Thanks,
    Roy.

When you unlock the car do you have to press the unlock button twice on the remote, to unlock all the doors, if this is the case then just change the settings so that all the doors unlock with just one press.

I have the autolock function set on my vectra and had the same problem until i changed the unlock setting. Have a read through your handbook.

Mine is set to unlock only the drivers door on the first press of the remote & all doors on the second however, when I turn the ignition off all the doors unlock in 1 go - Incidentally this is an option programmed into each key so you can have the car set up in different ways for different drivers - clever eh

So what you are saying is. If the auto lock is set, when you switch off the engine the doors auto unlock?

I never knew that. One of the reasons why i haven't activated the auto lock was it meant that i had to press the door button to open the car, which is a right pain.

There should be a door unlock switch on the passenger side also.

Mine is a facelift Elite and i have the autolocking function and the door lock button on the door.
The auto lock is excellent with the kids, go above 10mph and all the doors lock.
come to a stop and unlock the doors and they all open.
