Default Time for a few pics of my Signum

    Hi all,
Well I FINALLY managed to take some pictures of the Signum yesterday.
I have done quite a few things to her already since purchase. In standard form, when I got her, there were no twin pipes sticking out of the rear and no black rear glass and no satnav. Every other possible extra is there so I decided to do a few changes.
    1. I have removed the rear exhaust turn down pipes and had a custom stainless back end. Changed the lower trim with the two cutouts.
    2. Fitted the CDR2 tuning box with a K&N and also did the airbox mod.
    3. Fitted 40mm lowering springs all round.
    4. Changed the standard alloys for some 19" Snowflakes. (no rubbing ).
    5. changed the front grill for an irmscher one.
    6. Changed the fishing rod aerial on the roof for one of ED (spot on that man).
    7. Painted the BIG shinny silver screws for the number plates Black.
    8. Changed the passenger door glass for the black glass n/s & o/s.

Here's a couple of pics for now

Well that's about it for now!
The next item on the list is the rear windscreen, going to be changing that to the black tinted glass very soon.
I was thinking of fitting the VXR side skirts, the facelift rear lower bumper trim and the JDL front lower spoiler. I am unsure as whether to put these on as she sits very low already and I don't want to make the car impractical.
I will also be putting on some roof rails and the rear window spoiler at some point.
Then it will be onto the interior, loads I want to do there but depends on funds??

Any comments, good or bad, will be received gratefully.

    Loving the Signum now

    Kev

Very nice - zorts look good!!

VXR side-skirts will make a big difference, but being 40mm lowered you'd have to watch. I have them and am lowered 30mm and on some driveways it's a bit close!

Re rear screen - you're going to get your dealer to remove the current one and replace it with the tinted one?

those rear pipes look spot on - how does it sound? how much did you have replaced?

i'd say the rear roof spoiler should be top of the agenda, transforms the rear end and brings it back down to earth.

    Many thanks for the comments.
As for answers to questions here goes.
Duncan: Re rear screen - you're going to get your dealer to remove the current one and replace it with the tinted one?
In a word NO. The screens are FAR to expensive to just buy one and get vauxhall to fit it. I am making some enquiries at the moment but it will probably cost around £60. I wont mention on here how that will happen lol.

Harry: Those rear pipes look spot on - how does it sound? how much did you have replaced?
They were done by MIJ performance down in Walsal. They cost me £275 ish all in. I had the rear end of the system changed from where it splits. I had two rear silencers and tailpipes all in stainless. Vauxhall wanted nearly £400 for the standard rear section, and that's without fitting. The stainless system is guaranteed for the life of ownership to As for sound I had the mid sports silencers, but you wont get much sound out of a diesel to be honest. Even if I had gone for FULL sport cans it would have made little difference. More of a visual thing for me.

    Hi wardy
The tuning box is great and is being well looked after

As for the spoilers, my drive sort of tapers to the road so there isn't really a step or anything. I wouldn't have a problem there, just don't want to be struggling to get over speed humps etc.

I will be looking at doing the upper rear spoiler next. Just undecided on spoilers for the rest of the car. Once I have decided I can get them painted all together then

Thanks for the comments though very well taken

    Kev

That's what I was wondering. When I had my rear-end smack, it needed a new tailgate, but as the glass was fine they just remove the glass from the old tailgate and put it in the new one (as tailgates don't come with glass fittted). I enquired about getting the tinted version put in instead (me just paying for the glass as the labour was obviously part of the insurance repair). I knocked it on the head when they told me a new rear screen was somewhere (I think) around £300! So I just went for tints all round in the end!

lol - "Oops, I appear to have dropped a hammer from a great height onto my rear screen and it's broken. I'll have to make use of my glass insurance"

That looks fantastic chap really looking good.

I have had my car lowered by 45mm front and back and i have the irmy front splitter. My drive is on a very slight angle and it is fine and there are a few speedbumps around and i have had no problem with them. I think the issue is driving a little to fast at speed bumps and not allowing the car to slowly go over them and be clear rather than landing to heavy at the front and then scraping the surface.
My advice would be not to go for the jdl one because it sits far to low but get yourself a copy irmy one(GT Tuning i think)and try that.

    Your exhaust look nice to.
