    Default Bluetooth Reset

Is it possible to do a full reset on factory fit system. My previous phone (sony w810i) paired without problem, but my replacement (w880i) will only pair for about 20 secs before dropping out.
And now it does not want to pair with any phone for longer than 20 secs.
    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

That's Sony Ericsons for you I'm afraid. You can never predict how theyll behave with someone elses bluetooth kit. That's just the same fault they suffer from being paired with a Nokia kit.
This issue is something I've been suspect about for years when BMW 1st introduced their bluetooth kit & I'm very intruiged to see how car manufacturers are going to deal with this as what bluetooth phones on the market today obviously aren't goin to be the phone used in a few years time.
At least kits like the Parrots can have their software retro updated. I'm sure OE equipment can't be.

Never had a problem with my Sony Ericsson (K510i) pairs with my in car handsfree kit, my bluetooth headset (both non-Sony Ericsson, and my dads Nokia car kit no problems.

Only thing could be that I can think of is the new phone is running Bluetooth 2.0 and the car kit is running the older bluetooth, but i shouldn't have thought that would make a difference, as they should be backwards compatible...

Also you could make sure that Powersave is off, as it may make a difference...

as they should be backwards compatible...
Unfortunantly this is certainly not the case. It seems to boil down to what software version is installed on the phone handset.
Some Sony Ericsons work fine on Nokia kits, some don't. It's just pot luck really.

Even Nokia have changed their software where their early phones with bluetooth no longer work with their own current blueooth car kits.
It's the way of making the consumer pay up more money.
