Impreza WRX

I had a wee blast in my mates Scooby over the weekend and thought I would share my experience.

The car in question is a 03 plate standard UK spec WRX, my mate has just bought her and kindly let me pilot it for 10 mins. I was impressed with the handling and grip levels they were out of this world. I carried a fair amount of speed through corners but found it hard to get any reaction from it apart form it running the nose wide if you back off mid corner. The car just seems to have endless reserves of grip which makes it a safe but still fun car to hurtle round bends. The performance was a little disapointing 1st and 2nd the car was a bit quicker than my GSI but once rolling my motor feels stronger and maybe a bit quicker. I think the new scoobies are more refined so don't feel as raw. I must point out it still shifts and is no slouch but I expected more for some reason. It was also very nice to drive slowly ie easy to live with, the seats were also very comfy and hold you in nicely round the twisty bits. All in all I liked the car and found it to be a different type of drive to what I expected of it. A totally diiferent car to the Vec but a good one nonetheless, the Veccy has still got the edge for me though!
