    Default Splitter Advice (spraying)

I am awaiting my new front splitter, and i am considering spraying it my self as after all it is only the splitter and not a body panel. I was wondering if you can get black sapphire in spray cans, and also does any one know how many i will need i was thinking 2? if any one has done this before advice would be greatly appreciated

I myself would get 3 to be safe and don't forget the clear coat, also have you thought bout a coat of stonechip on the primer before the paint as it would help to reduce stone chip damage.
I would of thought you could get the cans from the dealers or better still go to a paint factors and get some made up. I have found that they are bigger cans and have a better spray nozzle and thus give a better finish.

I did mine with two cans of Black Saphire from Halfords.

You'll need some varying grades of wet and dry (use some 1200 for the final rub down) and rubbing compound. Get the spray tin of rubbing compound Halfords do, not the squeeze tubes or t-cut. Use a soft cloth to rub it down for best results.
