    Default pre facelift grille mods

I cant stomach £125 on an Irmscher grille .. sorry, each to their own, but thats a horrendous amount for such an item lol ( IMO ) as nice as they look and al that

so, what can / has been done to the pre-facelift grilles ..

Ive seen one or two on here with the chrome V part sprayed black, I like that..

    anything else done / do-able ??

the opel grille would be a cheap change, but Im not keen on how it protrudes at the sides onto the bonnet .

oh .. and just a reminder .. I "swear filter overload" hate chrome lol ..

annoyingly theres an 05 plate silver SRi cdti ( mines 54 ) parked within view, that doesnt have the chrome strip under the windows .. .grrr lol

If you like the opel grille then LMF do this which i was seriously considering before i sprayed mine, and theres none of that nasty overhang either.

Oh, mine's a '54' plate and hasn't got the chrome under the windows.

lol.. I know a cheap solution to the chrome strips .. and its legal :P

nice spot on the Opel grille .. and its painted .. omg.. do they make you a brew whilst they fit it ??

I think Id go for matt black to be honest .. what y'all think ?

the original has blanking plates behind it, possibly to ensure the air that hits it on the drivers side goes to the intake duct .. opel one doesnt, cant see it making much diff really .

Matt black should look good on silver.

The blanks not being there shouldn't make a difference either if you use the plastic bit thats behind the original grille already.

I wasn't 100% on it when I bought it but for the money you can't complain and they aren't very common.
