auto dim rear view mirror

auto dim rear veiw mirror
i have bought an auto dim rear veiw mirror from ebay and was hoping it would just plug in
i have spare wiring in the roof of my car but which one do i use also the cable conections are a different size wont fit the mirror wiring plug
or do i buy a lead from a main dealer ????
also the mirror i got dont have a cover can these be bought from dealer
all help would be welcome

very much doubt it will work unless someone else has fitted 1 and its working,
should imagine it needs to be tech2`d aswell,i have the part number for the
cover thats available seperately.
