    Default Backache

I've had my 2004 Veccy Elegance for 4 months now and it's driving me totally insane.

I can't drive it for more than a few minutes without getting horrible pains in my back. At first I thought it was because the lumbar support wasn't firm enough so I took the seat cover off and adjusted it to stick out slightly further. Now my back is getting very stiff just below my shoulder blades AND at the bottom where it used to.

Anyone else having this problem? I'm seriously tempted to just get rid of the thing now because there is zero pleasure in driving it. I could understand if I was an unusual shape or size, but I'm a pretty averagely built 5'11 guy.

Are the SRi seats better than the standard ones? Anyone know where I could get a set?

Had the same at 1st, even my leg was on the blink as well, it does pass, I think the seat's make the relaxed muscles work again, and thats what you are feeling right now.

I have had 2 back operations and car seats can be the worst things so set off pain. I traded in my Ford Galaxy Ghia on a 04 plate because the seat was not right. At first I did not know what to get and so looked all over the place looking at every make and model and of course price.
In the end I chose my current car in auto form and I am able to drive futher for longer and have not had a problem since.
I think the SRi seat is brill and in auto form is superb.

I find the seats somewhat hard, but drove 600 miles the other week and found no issues at all - unless I wind the lumbar support out.......

I drive with no extra support on this (though do need support of the moral variety when working away, which is most of the time)

I had problems at first with a stiffness in my shoulders but mainly my problem was (and occasionally still is) with my right leg - I think that the seat base is too short for me and the back of my thigh starts to hurt (was that the case with you VV?).

I've not tried SRI seats so can't comment on them.
