Default They've only gone an fixed my car at last, Hurrahh for Vx

Well after 3 weeks in the dealers , I got the call today to say it's fixed . I've had 7 new injectors , 1 new fuel rail and a new high pressure fuel pump and not all together. Vx asked the dealer to try one at a time to see if it fixed the misfire/juddering and seems there is a common fualt with the HP fuel pump after around 30k.

The dealer in Northumberland have been talking to Vx and the Met to cure it as the Met have been suffering badly on them too. It should have been ready last week but on Friday I got a call to say the clutch was snatching and they think some water has got in and started to corrode on the flywheel.

They put it down to the engine being stripped down three times. So today, a new dual mass flywheel and clutch. I'm just glad Vx are picking up the bill, I'm told at retail it would have been in the region of £10,000.

After 3 weeks they want the hire car back but there in it's self is a problem, you'd think after all the inconvinience they wouldn't quibble over an extra day.

I'm not going home until Friday, so they are going to meet me in Carlise tomorrow lunchtime to hand my car back and take the 1.8vvt Exclusive back, ohhh I can't wait to get some comfort back with my toys and I have saved my V6 3000 miles on the clock, yep thats right in 3 weeks I've put almost 3k on the hire car , think they'll be in for a shock when they pick it up. So heres to happy trouble free motoring again.

Let's hope all's well with it, and stay's that way.
What a lot of hassle to get the result.
