Not starting after fitting new starter motor.
Hey everyone, wonder if anyone can help me figure this out. Car was a pain to start, starter motor sounded slow. Just changed it today and changed the battery for a new one too, the starter motor spins and sounds faster, engine shakes but it's just cranking, wont start at all. Before I changed the starter it would eventually fire up but now I've just got the cranking and no start. Any help would be massively appreciated.

Hi Richie, maybe double‑check all the wiring to the starter and earths. Sometimes when changing the starter, an earth strap or small connector gets missed or isn’t tightened fully and a bad earth usually means strong cranking but no start.

On both my Vectra and the wife's late Astra H, the main loom from the UEC had breaks in it
