Alternator / Battery problems

Hi a long story made short .some time ago my Vectra Estate 2008 Elite Alternator /battery played up . As i was in middle of major refurbishment of Kitchen i.e. take it all out totally and put a complete totally layout Kitchen in .

Finally this week managed to get the correct 2008 version of Alternator on removing the original the B1+ black cable was not connected to the engine Harness assembly , the Red B2+ was still connected ok and the small two pin plug in cable was ok .

I tried to locate where the black cable goes to no luck on any Internet or the Wiring Diagrams

Unfortunately I'm not into touch with Dean or Joh think i have wrong numbers for them.
Has anyone ever had to find where that black cable goes to , someone said it was for the red light that shows battery not charging . Bit wary to try and start the car up without that Black Cable connected to where it goes to
