Big difference but for sure not 1200 papers, for that kind of money you could buy a bilstein b12 -30mm kit with springs included front and rear

Yeah well he probably can't just put on aftermarket suspension... some EU countries have taken on those stupid rules that only oem parts can be used to repair cars or it's an yearly test fail... this scheme is to get people out of older cars and get them to buy more environmental friendly cars. It's stupid and seriously crippling to owners and the dealers are laughing their heads off when they decided to do that.
I wanted to keep the set up stock and keep the CDC adaptive suspension. I know that they can be programmed out and I can then switch to a normal (non-adaptive) setup, but I think considering the situation with roads in my area, the IDS+ CDC system might benefit me in the long run. I think (I hope) I made the right choice.
Nah, it's still in proposal, not a law and is not about parts. It's about crashed cars being sent to eastern europe as "repairable" when in fact it has heavy structural damage. But all in all that thing barely happens anymore because old 2nd hand cars are really cheap now since they are trash and they are engine grenading themselves after 10 or so years.
Yes but eastern europe and IDS+ is not something that combines in terms of realiblity but you know, if it works it works and as long it brings a smile on your face money is just a number
Out of curiosity, I am asking you members of the forum, what would you do about motor mounts? I ask because I think there’s a bit of play. When I press and release the accelerator pedal, I noticed that there can be a bit of a jolting feeling, almost like a thump; and I have ruled out the transmission and gear shifts by driving in manual mode. So it’s not a hard downshift. It seems to be definitely the motor mounts, because releasing the gas pedal suddenly seems to cause a noticeable bump or thump. Whatever you want to call it.
What can I do to improve the motor mount situation, because my guess is that these mounts are old and the rubber is worn in perhaps beyond its lifespan. Local garage say they can't find the replacement part. They wished me the best of luck.

You should be able to get them online from various sources.... autodoc comes to mind.
