I swapped back to v-power and the issue is still there. Took it to the mechanics and they read for codes with Tech2 but they said they found no codes. They said it sounds like there is a problem, the bell is clicking. But they also said I should go to specialist.

I will add a bottle of STP Diesel Injector Cleaner to the tank and see how it goes. That said, I will stick to premium fuel for the rest of this cars lifetime, it seems as if the car just prefers premium diesel.

Another diary update. Here's how I am getting on with the car 1 year after ownership. Check out my video on YouTube: userupdate | 2007 Opel Vectra C 3.0 V6 CDTI Diesel Review in 2024 https://youtu.be/DZghukRdIrE

P0115-07 & P0115-71 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Fault
Happy New Year Vectra Fans. I need an expert's opinion, pertaining to the Z30DT: Where is the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor located? What can I find it? Thanks, if you can help. I have a fault code from the ECM, P0115 - Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit High Input; (07) - Present, and I have a code from IPC P0115 - Engine-Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit Range/Performance; (71) - Present
Symptoms: Spanner, EML light on, Radiator Fan is blowing at maximum speed, High Idle @1000RPM when no throttle pressure is applied, temp gauge does not rise above 70C, Test menu on BC screen shows coolant temp at 73C even after a 30 minutes' drive - temperature does not change (my opinion would be that the 73C reading is faulty and not accurate.)
Troubleshooting Performed: Cleared codes, charged battery, swapped batteries - Symptoms still exist after troubleshooting (my guess is the coolant temperature sensor is faulty.)

The mechanic said that it was broken. I had it replaced with a Hella aftermarket ECT. Car is running fine again. No EML on the dashboard.
