Default Have you ever washed a cat ?

If you follow my posts, you may be aware I had the replace my engine a few months ago. Since then, I have almost constantly been getting a catalytic converter efficiency error. Worst case scenario it gets replaced, so I decided to have a go at cleaning it first. After removal I blanked off the pipe end and poured a strong ( hangar ! ) floor detergent in it, let it sit for a bit, then hosed out in all directions. Then baked in the oven for 30 mins to dry it.

just taken it for a run - no errors and feels a bit smoother
