Cd70 Aux in for 2007
Hi I know there are quite a few threads on here on this subject but I can't find what I need.
I have just got another 2007 vectra with a CD70
I would like to add the Aux-in to it. I'm happy to do the soldering if necessary.
The software on the CD70 is 2005 and I keep reading that the software needs updating with an original disc.
I also believe that once updated, the aux needs to be activated.
I can't find this disc anywhere, everywhere I look it says out of stock.
Does anyone know where I can source this disc?
Also I'm guessing I need to add some components to the circuit board also.
I need to know what it is I need, where to get them and how to do it.
I also noticed that someone had modified the CD70 screen to be able to add a video input. Is there any of these modifications still around?
My other vectra had a CDC40 and I did the aux in ok on that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Why not use one of these? Lot less hassle!

The software CD is probably the hardest thing to get hold of now. If anyone has 1 I would be happy to post back to you.
The components should be a little easier to get hold of.
My next option would be to replace the CD70 with an android head unit but that is another headache as there are so many different units and no idea of the quality of them sound wise. This would also make the top screen of almost no use.
I have used FM transmitters in the past and quality of sound isn't always too good.
Thanks for all your replies so far.

why go android? There are double din units around with apple/android carplay built in. I did mine a few years ago and went for the Kenwood 7017DAB. Good unit, camera compatible, and carplay gives me the funcionality I need
