Ignition issue/fuel pump issue?
Recently my Vectra C 1.9cdti 8v has begun being picky as to when it wants to start. Sometimes I turn on the ignition and the TCS light will stay on leaving me unable to start the car - I turn key the last bit to crank engine and nothing happens.
I could repeat the procedure another time and the TCS light will go out and car will start or I might have to repeat it 5, 10 times before the light will go out.
What I have noticed is that the fuel pump seems to be involved in this issue. If I turn the ignition on and don't hear the whirr of the fuel pump then I know the TCS light will stay on and I'm not getting the car to start. If I turn the ignition on/off until I hear the fuel pump then the TCS light will go off and everything is fine.
Any ideas?

Yes clear codes I do it to see what comes back. When your symptoms happen again reread as from what you have there is…from what see uec not reading ecu so ecu fault uec fault or bad connection then going up the line depending on pre/face lift the abs plug fault.

Thanks, fyi it's an '05 pre facelift.
I went out and cleared all codes and then recreated the issue and below are the fault codes from a fresh read:

U2105-00 <Unknown DTC>
U2105-7F CAN-Bus No Communication with ECM (Engine Control Module)

U2139-71 <Unknown DTC>
Any help? Thanks

The last 2 you can most likely forget. The other 3 from uec to ecu if more units saying no coms to ecu I would put that at fault but only uec. So check fuses bcm and uec clean them or replace, remove uec and clean contacts underneath, also clean abs plug and there is another just behind clean that as well.

Uec..is the fuse box in engine bay check fuses and unbolt and check clean contacts underneath. Bcm fuse box passenger side behind cover when door is open check fuses clean contacts. As pre face abs unit known fault for wiring on plug the unit top right engine bay remove plug clean contacts. Just behind that another plug same with that. In some cases replacing fuses does cure problems. Also check earth points. After that would try replacing uec like for like or upgrade not downgrade.

Finally got around to actioning this, no joy unfortunately
Cleaned fuses in engine bay, connection beneath fuse box and the two plugs, no change.
Found I had water in spare wheel bay, been there a while it seemed. Put two and two together and with the timeline matching up possibly, I cleaned the fuses in the boot. No joy. Rear window heater not working now though. Changed majority of fuses in there apart from a couple of 5A ones as motor factors had none, also sprayed contact cleaner on the connections of the various plugs beside that fuse box. No joy.
Cleaned fuses inside passenger door, no joy.
Semi cleaned an earth point, I think, below the front of battery box, it was particularly ’powdery' ... could only loosen the nut a bit and toothbrush it for fear of not getting it back on/losing it, I only have a basic socket set. No difference.
Scanned codes again with ignition on:

Cleared them and scanned again with engine running:

Did I read somewhere that abs plugs/wiring behind each front wheel would be worth looking at?
