i feel utterly robbed seeing those prices... seriously the government should put a stop to it... wanna make more money on fuel fine do that with the premium fuels but regular fuel should have the same price everywhere. it's not as if they use a different process to manufacture it, plus diesel should be cheaper as it is the by-product of petrol, meaning they don't need to really do much extra for it.

Diesel was cheaper at another garage in Oxfordshire yesterday (Sutton Courtenay Tyres). This was posted on one of the local Facebook groups.

well around my neck of the woods the cheapest is now 179.7 that is a whole 15.8p per liter difference see what I'm on about? and that is just regular diesel the cheap stuff! I get it they got to make money... but seriously the only industry that gets away with this is the fuel and housing market, food went like this for a short period but they soon realized people weren't having it... we should all start moaning about it to our MP's... can you see this happening with clothing? same brand & models being sold at different prices based on the area you are in... that's some BS, same as this with the fuel.

For ages, fuel in the South West (eg, Bristol, Swindon and other nearby locations) was always cheaper than fuel in the South East.
Reason being, or so they said, was that fuel coming from the Avonmouth depot in Bristol didn't have so far to travel to SW garages, so delivery charges were cheaper.
Now the fuel in Swindon is at least 10p / litre dearer than in the SE, but before it used to be at least 10p cheaper.

I used to plan my refuelling around visiting relatives or shopping in Swindon to make the most of saving a few quid.

As you say, these random fuel prices makes no sense at all.

The garage I previously mentioned, Mellors at Challow in Oxfordshire. Price has gone down again this morning. 25p a litre cheaper for diesel than another Esso garage less than 10 miles away.

If you were to put 10 gallons in your tank, the difference is £11.35

Why aren't Esso (and others) being investigated for these huge price differences?

because the government doesn't care... the more the pumps charge, the more taxes they collect, why we don't start to complain on a platform that actually can make a difference is beyond me... maybe we should start a petition and hand it to the ****** government and get Martin Lewis on their case!.
