FullCan ECC in half can car?

Hi. My current car configuration is ncdc2013 + CID. Im planing in the future to convert to cd70navi and cid. im slowly gathering parts for it. I tried to put a fullcan ecc panel to the car and it does not work.Is this normal behavior? Will it only work after the conversion to full can CID + radio?

It may be possible but you may need to replace other modules and change some wiring connections
too (eg CIM) @Robsey could probably advise

I have all the wiring. i checked against the car what i have the panel from and i have all the wiring plus some more so the wiring is not the isue.
