Smile Interior rear passenger light for sale

I've got a new, still in the packet, rear passenger light for sale. Got it from LMF during the week. Full fitting instructions included (theres an excellent 'how to' guide on the forum aswell).

Whys it for sale..!?...just pulled down the headlining but found my car (05 model SXI 150) doesn't have the plug..!!! A**E!!! Pity.

So....offers...and I'll fire it off to you.

    Kev

PS...I'll swap it for a new Irmscher grill......

Are you certain the plug's not there?
I had difficulty finding it myself as it was taped down, well away from the light's location - about half way between the left hand front and rear grab handles, about six inches in from the left hand edge of the roof lining.
Extreme care need to be taken to release the plug from the v. sticky tape - the ribbon cable looks very fragile - and once you've release the cable from the tape, you can drag the plug (and cable) over to the middle of the roof.
Everything's white - top of roof lining and the sticky tape, so you have to pull the lining well down before you can easily see the small black plug (covered with this white tape.

I'd be surprised if the same wiring loom wasn't used in all models.

Mine is a "54" Reg. SRi and, besides the rear lamp plug, there are a number of other plugs and connectors in the roof lining.

Don't worry about pulling the roof lining too far down and creasing it! - it all smooths out and creases disappear as soon as its refitted at the edges.

    Hope this helps.

Certain enough after 20mins feeling through the white tape for the slightest bump that might indicate a plug...couldn't find damn all. Was looking where you mentioned. The light fitting looks like it takes a plug big enough not to miss. If there were other plugs etc there then I'm well surprised I missed 'em all.

Cheers for the advice Doug. I'll have another gander at it.

    Kev.
