Fuel line split on top of fuel filter, need replacement part Urgently
I had a split on the pipe on top of fuel filter and broke down. AA guy put temporary rubber and clamped both sides. Advised to get the correct fuel pipe before driving. Went to stealers and they want £106 for pipe and several weeks delivery. Ive searched ebay for replacement but cannot find part. Any help would be appreciated as i'm using bus to work at the moment. its the top pipe from tank to fuel filter top with the bend. Vectra C 2005 1.9cdti 120 8v.

These long lead times for parts are because of Peugeot take over. Bunch of (enter any swear word)s!
If it was me I’d probably be buying some aftermarket tubing and cannibalise the old pipe to keep the ends and use some clamps / pipe joiners.
Used part like this will be difficult to get from a breaker and remove yourself. Not implying anything about ability, more so about the way a scrap car will be sitting (most likely no wheels and floor pan touching the deck plus Vectras are getting a very rare sight round any of the ones round my bit).
Try eBay / gumtree / internet search for Vauxhall specialist breakers. However, how would a part like that ever arrive undamaged by post?
Another possibility is Autoparts (Arnold Clark parts network). If you phone any Arnold Clark Vauxhall dealer then they’ll be able to check their system for stock. You might get lucky and they have stock and could post it (but again - how?). They have a lot of genuine Vauxhall stuff but I don’t think their inventory is linked to other non - Arnold Clark dealers. I managed to get a genuine power steering pipe for my father-in-laws insignia in stock when Vauxhall was going to be weeks delivery. Not cheaper though just (maybe) faster.

don't blame Peugeot... blame BREXIT for the problems of having parts available in stock, including the fat that getting the parts over is now more expensive because of the border malarkey and the fat that Russia and the Ukraine are at war (high fuel prices get worked down to everything) so if you voted for BREXIT you got yourself to thank for this recession we are experiencing at the moment(and if you didn't well blame all the other dumb****es that didn't see the bigger picture)
that said any part can be taken off on a breaker( if i remember correctly) he doesn't need the thing all the way from the tank just partly (and that is all under the bonnet) and worst case if they've got just one vectra cdti and you need the part from the bottom ask them if they can lift it up for you. never had a breaker say no to that.

But you can always get some self-fusing silicone tape and tape the hose up... I have done this when you can't get a replacement hose and that one pipe i had to do was the oil feed pipe to the oilcooler... no new ones available in the UK and it has been leak free for 4 years. I did give it 3 complete windings (from the beginning nong to the end) with it just to make sure and by doing so it has become stronger than all the other oil pipes I have replaced with oem new ones

Maybe the fact that they stopped production of the Vectra C 14 years ago so they're stock holding is low and will only make a batch when a certain number of orders are in.
