Dash light for blown bulb, but no blown bulb

I've even used little pieces of sandpaper on bulb holder contacts...

I used wirewool, sandpaper, electrical contact cleaner, a boxcutter blade and even a drill attached copper-wired metal brush to clean up the complete metal of the bulbholders and cleaning out the wire connector part on the back of them... never had a problem with the lights being shown as blown in the back ever again...

I did the same to the original foglight housings inside part where the ground is but that was so rusted up i had to replace those. I had this constant bulb out warning on the foglights even when i didn't use them, but it wasn't the wiring, it was literally the resistance on the ground that got picked up by the canbus system
