Vectra 08 3l v6 cdti clutch noise

Hi, Have the above estate with 103k on clock. When depress clutch or when release there is a sort of graunchy noise sometimes. No issues with getting into gear at moment. Noise isnt for the full travel of the pedal. Any ideas as to what I need to get garage to do? Garage i use is superb and I am 100% they would not take me for a ride but just want to have an idea what Im looking at asking them to sort so I dont look complete wingnut. Grateful for thoughts.

must be the CSC that is past it's best, is there any oil leaking from the gearboxes bellhousing?

CSC...Clutch Slave Cylinder? No idea re oil but at least it gives me something to pass on to garage. Thanks. Its in next week so hopefully resolved then.

yes Clutch Slave Cylinder... but if there is no oil leaking from the bellhousing, it could be time to replace the clutch setup

Sadly garage is of the view that it is the Dual Mass Flywheel. To replace is £1400 and car isnt worth that sadly.

The book value is £1200-1300. Low mileage though for a 3ltr 2008 plate at 103000. It got a minor ripple in the drivers door outer skin when a deer decided to run through car a few years ago but apart from that its very nice. Couple of alloy wheels need reprofiling and there is a split in the flexipipe on the exhaust which is now an mot advisory.

your clutch setup including flywheel is about 500 pounds... best to DIY the flexi can be done at a fraction of what you'd think it'll cost you, and to top it off that door can be replaced with one from another car bring your car back up to scratch... i know exactly what i would do...
