Vectra z19dth p0400 fault

Hi Guys,
Recently my engine management light has been coming on, fault is p0400 which i believe is related to egr valve.
Is the best solution remove valve and clean it out and refit?
Would i need new gaskets?
I have never blanked off the egr, i suppose there is not much point now at this stage on a 07 Vectra 150000miles?

No point because it needs to be mapped out... but at that mileage the engine hasn't even gotten some ware... the clutch and dmf have but not the engine.

And yes take it off and clean it

Thanks, had the dmf and clutch replaced about 100k,
will get the egr cleaned and hopefully that will clear the fault
