Hi guys,
I'm having a problem and have no clue as of what it can be.
I drive a Vectra C2 from 2008 with the z22yh engine.
Last week when i started the car the engine light came on so I took my Opcom and saw fault code P0304 misfire cylinder 4 detected. (nothing else)
Changed spark plugs and coil pack and the problem was gone for 2 days (it was still a bit rough on idle but the car drove fine)
After 2 days the misfire came back and I changed spark plugs form position and bought a second coil pack to just be sure, but unfortionatly the problem stayed, got instant misfire cylinder 4.
I'm familiar with the HPP and the PR issues but I've got the good continental one and when I test with opcom with laptop on passenger side the Fuel Pressure does the same as the desired fuel pressue, it climbs all the way to 11000 kPa when giving full throttle etc. So it seems the pressure is fine and not at fault.
Im also not getting any other codes besides P0304 and if I'm correct you should get something like P1191 for it to be a HPP fault. Also your car should get into limp mode if you have faultje fuel pressue but mine just drives on 3 cylinders but keeps driving fast. ( I could be wrong ofcourse, but this is what i found on the internet)
I'm waiting for a compression meter kit to messure the compression in cylinder 4 so that is also something I'm am still going to check.
Does anyone else know these kind of engines well and know what it can be what causes misfire on cylinder 4?
Any help would be much appriciated!
