Vectra C Buying guide

Afternoon all

I'm new here and just wanted some advice.

I'm looking into buying a facelift Vectra V6 CDTi estate and wanted to know what to look out for when viewing one?
Are there any common faults or things that I definitely need to check before buying?

Any info is greatly appreciated

Some on here love them. Ours was a mixed bag - it went for spares due to consuming 400 ml of coolant on a drive. Head Gasket failure. It was nice and smooth however having both 8 and 16v diesels as well I would choose a 1.9 16v any day. Cheap parts and much easier to repair than the isuzu V6.

The V6 is very nice as Bren says but the 1.9 is probably easier to live with.
