I do like those BBS wheels too something about their simple design just does the trick.. but they'll be a pain to keep clean with all the little corners... but they're easier to clean than the XP2 wheels.

And yes, looks small on R19
Have you tried Autodoc for parts? Every so often they have excellent promotions if you are prepared to be patient. I got the OEM valeo blower for £101.

They are like the SRi twin 5 spokes. I will rename them SRi+ alloys

Nah not worth trying autodoc here in romania, they are rubbish in here. They want money upfront, they deliver the product with massive delays or even wrong parts, there's a lot of story with them here in romania and is not like you can deal with them in the normal fashion, like you know, call customer support and have the issue fixed. I can get the part from local store for about the same price but i'm not gonna replace it yet untill it starts to "yell"

If only they filled the empty space i between the double spokes it would be the best wheel ever easy to clean and bags of street cred. But in the name of design and lightness they decided against it... talking about the sri wheels... but you are right the BBS look just like them but more stylish and in the right diameter

This is a bit of a crap update but it’s what’s been going on anyway.

So I’ve had a bit of bad luck with the car recently. They say it comes in 3s don’t they? Everyone say “Aw”

No 1. (Not terrible but bad enough….they get steadily worse). I replaced the aerial seal as I thought it was leaking but no it wasn’t leaking but of course now it is…..badly. My boot is full of Scotlands best rain water. I need to sort it asap or I’m going to have rust everywhere in the boot. Although the old aerial seal looked terrible it was actually doing its job. Oh why didn’t I just leave it alone. The original leak (positively minuscule compared to what I have now) was the factory seam sealer cracking at the quarter panel / roof sections on the offside - easy enough fix when you know what it is you’re looking for. Annoying but not the end of the world you’re thinking and yeah what’s the big deal.

No 2. (Again not that bad on its own but BBS SXs are pretty expensive!!). So I’m running a little bit late to get the middle child from school. About 2 mins before getting her I hear a horrible crunch and I’m thinking omg I’ve just hit the kerb but then I relax as I realise I’m well away from it. Long story short: I caught the edge of a stank that had a hole next to it. Any further to the right I would have been fine or indeed any further to the left I would have been fine. I hit it just right to heavily score the front wheel.

No 3. (I mean seriously come on. Give me a break). Got holiday coming up. So many things to do. Car definitely not a priority. I thought I know I’ll go leave the Vectra round at my uncles garage. Nice secure yard, security gate, cameras etc . Car will be safe and sound and I can work on it after I’m back. Great holiday. Nice time with the wife kids. Few days after I’m back my mum comes round asking me about the car. I tell her I don’t want to hear about it and I’ll deal with it later. She hands me a note - 2 actually. Im paraphrasing but it went something like “Sorry but I’m a total dumba** and even though there wasn’t anything within 20 metres of your car I still managed to smack right into the back of it. The bright red paintwork was so faded that it was really hard to see”. I’m being unkind. I should add that although clearly a bad driver this wasn’t actually a bad person as they did the right thing and agreed to pay for the damage. Still hassle I can seriously do without.

The car is a bit of a headache at the moment. Not the cars fault. More of a me problem and nowhere really to keep it.

    Let’s see what happens…

This is the ‘after heavy T-CUTting’ picture; My rear bumper now matches the rest of the car….by being a bit shabby. It could have been worse I suppose.

    IMG_5814.jpg
My aerial base is now gasketless. Just whacked a bit of flexible black silicone on and it has stopped the boot leak. I did this a few days ago but I thought I’d wait and confirm the leak was actually fixed before posting.

Now moving on to what I might do with the car. Frustrating as it is I need to seriously consider getting rid of it. My question and let me be clear it’s NOT a ‘what’s it worth’ question it’s a ‘is it worth…’ question so I think legally speaking I can ask.

With all the mods and parts I have, I’m certain I can get £2k+ if the car ends in bits.

£1k+ rrp in parts not fitted. Let’s say £250-£300 selling on.
Quaife. Maybe £350ish taking it out or even £750+ Engine/Box complete. This mod alone would be £1k+ even if you did it yourself…
Exhaust (plus brand new CAT). Maybe £200-300
    Brakes. Maybe £250-350
Alloys. Hopefully £500ish even though one has a nice big scrape round the rim
    Hybrid turbo. £250+ surely
Comfort unit, video module etc £100
CD70, Bluetooth module, custom s/wheel etc

My question (please Yes or No):

BUT IS IT WORTH £2k NOT IN BITS?
