you'll need the VP44 box from 'dieseltuner'..it gives about 135 BHP and i've heard no bad reports on this 'wire-in' box..

fuel consumption is all dependant on hard you push the right hand pedal down when you use the new power..LOL..

Oh right Am i right in saying then that the e-bay item is only an attachment for the vp44!! I thought this was all that was needed to tune the veccy.

    dont worry about it............RODNEY!!!!! HAHAHAHA
Right so the item is a vp44, How hard is it too fit please mate? Cutting wires and wiring it in sounds like a dodgy job. I'm confident enough playing around with the car but would it be handy enough doing this? As for the BHP the 2.2dti pushes out 123BHP (or thereabouts) so a gain to 130BHP doesn't sound like the gains that others are acheiving with a tuning module!! I am really interested in this item so i'm just trying to find out all that i can before getting into a bidding war.

EDIT: (see above) tuned to 135 BHP still doesn't sound like a huge gain.

right, the VP44 won't give the same massive power hikes as, say , the caterman box as you haven't got a common fuel rail to really boost the injected fuel. so don't expect similar figures.. the VP44 is all about driveability..

as for the wiring, if you're not confident, maybe one of the N.I. members could wire it in for you to the diesel pump?..

well i wired mine into my wagon, have a brave bit of dismantleing to do!!! it aint easy and it wasnt cheap,

i bought mine for just under£200 off ebay at the very last that will jump up in price for lots more than its at now.

as for power difference, my 2.0dti aint a rocketship but gives her that wee edge, although when your sitting in 5th at about 50-60 sometimes, and you hit an slight hill and dont floor it the spanner light comes on and she will go into limph mode but after maybe about a minute it will go of and go out of limph mode
