Changed fuel filter car won’t start damn

After very long cranks it started idled then cut out done that twice now any ideas?

Tow start it

Filled up the fuel filter housing to the top with diesel it started panic over

Doesn’t always work a towstart always works another tip next time use a fuel injector cleaner to top up the fuel filter as it burns easier than diesel
