Newly purchased Signum V6 has issues, any help would be really appreciated!

Hi everyone, thanks for accepting me to the forum. I hope that someone can help - I've just bought a Signum 3.2 V6 but it keeps cutting out when driving, losing all power for a brief moment and then carrying on. When it does this, the car with spanner light flashes up as well as the EML light and the clocks all go to zero briefly. The ESP light then also stays on permanently and the car seems down on power.

I had to call out the AA the other night as the car cut out and then wouldn't start (just clicking). The AA guy checked for fault codes and there was only one for P0650 (Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Control Circuit Malfunction), he advised that it might be worth replacing the crank sensor but if its not this then it could be the ECU? 😢

Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas on what this could be? I've only had the car for a couple of days now and the seller described it as driving well so its a bit disheartening. It otherwise seems a decent car with pretty much full service history and the previous owner had it since a few months old. Any thoughts would be very much appreciated!

Hi Ryan ,welcome , hopefully some one will be along that will be able to help . Things are a bit quieter in here than it use to be so be patient .

It’ll need more looking into to see what is happening with diagnostics could be a no. of things bad wiring, uec, coils, plugs, where in Norfolk are you,I’m Horsford way out side Norwich.
