confused AC is disabled if I install aftermarket stereo

    Hello!

I've recently acquired a 2003 Vectra C with a CCRT2008 stereo (so half-can from what I read), and wanted to replace it with an Android stereo.

I've ordered and installed one, and I'm facing a problem: If I install the cable that came with it, my AC is no longer working: the temperature and fan speed no longer shows up on the GID, and the controls don't work. If I remove the cable, everything is working again.

Has anyone had similar issues, or has some pointers on how I could debug this?

Hello and welcome, you should introduce yourself in the appropriate topic, and don't forget to post up a picture of your car (it's an unwritten rule on here, or suffer the asks about them in every other message) that all said... look in this post you basically need to figure out what the pins are and what they do... once you've done that, than you'll be able to sort it out (aka bypass them or have them connected properly)

Thank you! This was very helpful, after looking at those diagrams, it was obvious that some very random wires were connected, that should not have been. I've removed these connections, and now the AC is working again.
