The only way you are going to get the price for repairs down would be a visit to the scrap yards to see what is about and then buy your car back for pennies .

just buy it back and have it repaired with used parts as suggested... the damage doesn't seem to be structural so it's oem new parts and labour to sort it out that are making it so high they don't want to repair it... to be fair you should ask your insurer how much % the tipping point is for them to declare it a TL if they work out that it is just on the brink of it than you might be able to get them to repair it. otherwise it'll be a buy it back scenario take the money for a replacement vehicle to repair this one. in the mean time get a cheap run about until the car is sorted that you can flog or scrap right after the car is done.
