Engine conversion

Hi folks.
Absolutely adore my 1.8 Vectra C. I'm building the car at the moment as a stance car however the car lacks alot of poke. Doing some research on an engine conversion. The coding of the ECU is where the situation falls apart. Is there any way around this?
Is it a case of going for standalone engine managment?

I would be looking at a 2.3 Saab turbo engine or Z20LET.

Don’t see a problem with z20let as that is already in system for programming not sure on 2.3 ???

I've not seen a 2.3 ever in the software of vauxhall so it would be wise to stick with the z20let... it's a big job though and logic dictates you are better off getting a donor car so you can swap all the parts over in one go... and with all the parts i mean engine /ecu/ suspension/ etc etc etc or you'll be coding loads (so you will be needing the carpass of the donor car and yours if you want to mix and match parts)
