Thumbs down the atmophere was tense to say the least

On my way back from canock yesterday , i stoped at the m6 toll sevices to fill the truck !! , when a red mmw pulled up in the truck forecourt , two asian men got out took thier shoes off , laid a coat down , nelt on it and started to prey

EVERYONE just looked , dont think they quite new what they were doing but it wasn't good , as it was right next to the shop , in full view of the car and truck forecourts !!!!!

After 5-10 mins of umm-ing and arr-ing they got back in the car and went .... pheeeewwwwwww !!!!

What kind of sick prank was that ...... or was it ?????? in the heat of cr@pping myself i didnt think of writting thier reg number down , but it was a red bmw 318is

As BB said, nothing to worry about. Muslims pray at set times throught the day, regardless of where they may be at the time.

I've seen this twice at motorway service stations now and once in a shopping centre. I think it's to do with ramadam(spelling) started last week.

This my guess too. Can hardly get hold of anyone in out Saudi or Egyptian offices at this time of year. On the other hand I agree with Phil it would look worrying.

It's their fasting time now guys, as Inspektor correctly stated

They are supposed to pray at certain times & can only eat when the sun isn't up.

I work with some guys who are doing this (two of em are close mates) It might look wierd but nowt to worry about.

These guys are equally as digusted by the extremists as the rest of us. Their religion preaches peace & to be tolerant of others.

I'm not religious in the slightest, been to church for weddings & funerals only.

I joke with these guys that I'll convert them to Atheism & get them to drink beer.

They tell me to bu99er off!! LOL

End of the day, each to their own.

It all goes to show the irrational fears that are evoked in people by the media. I say irrational, as the probabilities that you will be involved is so small, but the PERCEIVED fear is far greater than the actual risk.

And the average Muslim is as equally appalled by the 7/7 events as all the other religious groups.

However, now is a time for calm and understanding and not for paranoia and over-reaction.

    Peace
