Playing with eeprom’s

Well got bored so ordered a cheap as chips usb reader found some free software and had a play, got 2 spare radios sat around cd70 that I know is reset and a cdc40 that I know nothing as bought it to change front panel to another.
so after a bit of playing and figuring out what I was doing managed to read and decode cdc40 but can’t read cd70 still got a few things to try hot air gun to remove chip and another holder for when I do.DBF0501F-DFAF-4B05-B4DA-5CDC341FB6A2.jpg

cd70 will normally read fine in-circuit

Normally.....then that doesn’t include me then I ain’t normal I’m from Norfolk.....

I found with mine I had to apply very light pressure to the clip to get it to read the chip properly, otherwise the dump was corrupt.

Oh noes!!! thats top secret!! (well about 10 years ago lol), yes that is correct, the 0CA - 0CF is the needle sweep bytes, and the 0x0B would be the option in variant config which would be set from vauxhall to VXR

Q. EPC 4.25 2014 has data for vin to reg and spec of vehicle has anyone looked in data for pin as well as it holds 90% info
