30048443-292A-4030-A3B9-9FD164F3820D.jpgRight - had one last mechanical play yesterday. All ok. So sat there last night with the old engine loom ( injectors etc ) and a spare Astra ECU and figured out which contacts affect the VVT solenoids. Checked same loom on car this morning and all con checked ok. So…. Onto pins at ECU and con check harness from UEC. Waggle harness and resistance is all over the place including going open circuit. That’ll be my next task then ….

TBH I’ve no idea what fuse - checked / replaced all them a few days ago. Having removed the UEC I’m getting a breakdown somewhere in the loom. Be off in five minutes, then an afternoon in the sun with a multimeter …,

Fuse 14 is the feed for cam sensors, solenoids and oxygen sensors according to wiring diagram.

well looks like you've found the culprit... now time to cut clean and re-solder with some nice heat-shrink to make sure it's working as it should.

Wasn’t chaffing. That’s got wet from coolant venting, found a small hole and rotted out. Wife’s Astra H did similar except she lost power to the ECU completely C901A13C-F200-46FA-9D31-52C3B70006BC.jpg
