Best Vauxhall you ever had?
I’ve been behind the wheel of a Vauxhall since 1993 with a mk2 cavalier 1.6 followed by a 1986 1.8 Glsi. A 1995 cavalier Sri 16v, 2 vectra Sri 140’s, my beloved moon buggy vectra c and now my current insignia Sri. They’ve all been good cars but the stand out one for me is my vectra c. Owned for 10 years and nearly 3 times around the clock but utterly reliable.
Whats your favourite?

opel kadett 16v gsi champion was the best of them never ever had a problem with it. flew through every yearly test with no advisories. and I always regret getting rid of it, but it's not only one on that regret list.

My Current car.
Vauxhall Signum Elite 3.2v6 automatic.
Bought it in 2007, Now has 137,000 miles on the clock. Only Major issue has been oil leaks from cylinder block, had the all replaced last year. New steering rack last month. Starting to rust around rear wheel arches.
I hope i will get at least two more years out of it.
Best car I have ever owned.
3.2 v6 Signum and loving it 😁

POSSIBLY DUE TO MY AGE, I have had quite a few Vauxhalls.Starting with smallest, an HA Viva SL.then the HB model.an F series VX 4/90 Also the previous model that had the exhaust pipe poking through the rear bumper by design.A couple of cavaliers and the Royale. But my fav will always be the Signum 3.0 diesel auto elite.Just wish I could lay my hands on one now.

I had the chance to buy the opel kadett 2.0 16v champion back... it was in such a bad state i walked away... the guys that bought it after me literally trashed it, i got offered it for a silly low amount but the amount of work it needed to be back in the shape it was meant a complete restore from the ground up....I passed on it... engine was leaking oil, gearbox too, all the bushes where shot, interior was messed up and they actually replaced the recaro heated leathers I had in there, put on an analogue cluster instead of the OEM digital one (it was in the boot but didn't light up properly) alarm was messed with, the carpets looked like it spend a few years in the sahara, actually the only good part on it was the shell had no rust... but the rest was in such a poor state i almost cried when i saw it.
SO that thought me one thing never let go of a car unless you are satisfied it'll die on the scrappy... that way no-one can ruin it... although i do buy cars to sell at a profit every once in a while, i just restore them and make them faster than standard... but that is about it... cars i keep for myself will stay until they go to their resting place.

I would have thought it more suited to general chat, rather than diaries.
